The Role

• As a Senior Engineer, you will join a talented engineering unit to deliver high-quality, scalable products. You will collaborate closely with Engineers, AI Scientists, Testers, DevOps, and Product stakeholders to drive technical excellence, improve processes, and maintain a high-performing team culture.

Key Responsibilities

• Architect and develop robust backend and frontend web applications that deliver exceptional user experiences.


• Engineer reliable servers, scalable databases, and efficient APIs to power seamless functionality.


• Optimize web applications for performance, responsiveness, and cross-platform compatibility on mobile and desktop.


• Continuously fine-tune systems for speed, scalability, and high availability.


• Build and integrate RESTful APIs and third-party services to extend functionality and drive innovation.

Qualifications & Skills

• 5+ years of engineering experience in a fast-paced tech environment.


• Strong technical background in software design, data structures, and algorithms.


• Familiarity with a modern tech stack, including:


• Languages/Frameworks: TypeScript, Node.js, ReactJS


• Infrastructure: Kubernetes, Docker, Helm, Gitlab Pipelines


• Databases: MySQL, Prisma, TypeORM


• APIs: REST, GraphQL


• Other Tools: Jira, Git, Redis, RabbitMQ, Slack


• Strategic problem-solver with excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Nice to Have

• Experience in the Enterprise FinTech or financial services industry


• Exposure to AI/ML, decisioning systems, or data platforms


• Previous experience working with African markets or users
