JOB OBJECTIVE:

• The role of a Legal Officer, often referred to as a Legal Counsel or Legal Advisor, involves providing legal support and guidance within an organization.


• It also involves working closely with various departments within the company to ensure that its operations remain within the legal and regulatory frameworks applicable in the industry.

JOB RESPONSIBILITY

• Maintain and update all contracts database/filing systems


• Liaise with external solicitors, regulatory bodies, governments, landlords of buildings occupied by the Company in various states, and other stakeholders.


• Assist in managing disputes and litigation, coordinating with external legal counsel when necessary, and representing the organization in legal matters.


• Collaborates with the teams to implement the organization's legal strategy in alignment with the business goal.


• Prepare correspondences and follow up with the engagements with regulatory and compliance agencies.


• Assist with the administrative arm of the unit duties. 


• Conduct legal research to stay informed about relevant laws and regulations, providing updates to the organization as necessary.
