Job Summary




  • The Head of Business will be responsible for overseeing the overall operations, business development, and strategic direction of the engineering workshop.

  • This role requires a dynamic leader with strong technical knowledge, business acumen, and the ability to drive efficiency, innovation, and growth.



Key Responsibilities

Business Strategy & Growth:




  • Develop and implement business strategies to expand market presence and increase revenue.

  • Identify new business opportunities, partnerships, and client relationships.

  • Drive innovation and continuous improvement in manufacturing processes.

  • Operations & Production Management:

  • Oversee the production process, ensuring efficiency, quality control, and cost-effectiveness.

  • Ensure timely delivery of manufactured products to INTERNAL AND EXTERNAL clients.

  • Optimize resource utilization, including materials, manpower, and equipment.



Sales & Customer Relations:




  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers, feed mills, poultry farms, and other stakeholders.

  • Work with the sales team to identify customer needs and tailor product offerings accordingly.

  • Ensure excellent after-sales support and customer satisfaction.



Financial & Budget Management:




  • Develop and manage budgets, ensuring profitability and cost control.

  • Monitor financial performance and implement corrective actions as needed.

  • Ensure pricing strategies align with market conditions and company goals.



Team Leadership & Development:




  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team.

  • Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous learning.

  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and labour regulations.



Technical & Product Innovation:




  • Stay updated with industry trends and technological advancements.

  • Oversee research and development of new products and improvements to existing products.

  • Ensure adherence to engineering and manufacturing standards.



Qualifications & Experience




  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field. An MBA is an added advantage.

  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in manufacturing, engineering, or related industries, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.

  • Strong technical knowledge of machine parts, equipment, and tools used in feed mills, poultry farms, and agriculture.

  • Proven experience in business development, sales, and operational management.

  • Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.

  • Ability to drive change, improve processes, and implement best practices.
