Description

Vessel Operations

• Ensure smooth and efficient vessel movements, scheduling, and berthing.


• Monitor and coordinate loading and unloading of cargo.


• Ensure compliance with safety and operational procedures.

Regulatory Compliance

• Ensure adherence to international and local maritime regulations.


• Maintain documentation required for port and customs authorities.


• Stay updated on changes in maritime laws and policies.

Crew Management

• Oversee crew deployment, welfare, and training.


• Ensure compliance with labor laws and maritime safety regulations.


• Monitor crew certifications and licensing.

Logistics & Supply Chain Management

• Coordinate fuel, spare parts, and provisions for vessels.


• Work with suppliers and vendors to ensure timely deliveries.


• Optimize costs while ensuring operational efficiency.

Safety & Security

• Implement and enforce safety measures on board vessels.


• Conduct risk assessments and emergency preparedness drills.


• Ensure compliance with ISM (International Safety Management) regulations.

Port & Terminal Coordination

• Liaise with port authorities, shipping agencies, and customs officials.


• Arrange for pilots, tugboats, and other port-related services.


• Handle berthing and departure formalities.

Technical & Maintenance Support

• Ensure vessels are maintained and comply with industry standards.


• Work with technical teams for repairs and maintenance scheduling.


• Monitor fuel efficiency and vessel performance.

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years cognate experience.


• ⁠Minimum of second class (upper division) Bachelor’s degree in Maritime transport management or any related course.


• Knowledge of Shipping agency and marine operations.
