Key Responsibilities:




  • Closely monitor and give constant progress reports on staff/students towards achieving the enunciated goals of the school.

  • Coordinate, supervise, and write reports on all tests and examinations conducted in the college.

  • Ensure all statutory records are maintained by teachers e.g, diaries, registers, lesson notes.

  • Prepare the school’s academic timetable promptly

  • Ensure the school’s academic timetable is adequately followed and attendance of lessons by students/staff is promptly monitored.

  • Monitor the preparation of students for academic competitions.

  • Ensure registration of students for external examinations.

  • Maintain discipline of students and staff.

  • Liaise with all related bodies for unique programmes that will boost the image of the school as a centre of excellence.

  • Work in close contact with the heads of department for successful academic programmes.

  • Supervise co/extracurricular activities in the school.

  • Coordinate the activities of the head of departments.

  • Any other duty that may be assigned to you from time to time for the growth and development of the school.



Qualifications and Skills: 




  • Bachelor’s degree in Education.

  • Minimum of 10 years teaching experience in a secondary school setting, 3 of which should be in a leadership role.

  • Proficient knowledge of teaching strategies and methods.

  • Proficient knowledge of applicable laws, policies, and procedures.

  • Proficient computer skills.

  • Availability to work extended hours on occasions.

  • Excellent people skills.

  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

  • Outstanding organisational skills.
