Overview

• We’re seeking a Cloud Engineer - Network to design, deploy, and manage scalable, secure, and high-performance network infrastructures in Microsoft Azure. As part of the Microsoft Cloud Center of Excellence (CoE), you will play a key role in cloud networking, automation, troubleshooting, and performance optimization across hybrid and multi-cloud environments.


• The ideal candidate has hands-on expertise in Azure Networking (VNETs, ExpressRoute, VPN, Load Balancing, Firewalls, Private Link) and Cloud Connectivity solutions.

Responsibilities

• Deploy, configure, and manage Azure Virtual Networks (VNETs), Subnets, NSGs, UDRs, and Private Endpoints.


• Implement Hybrid Cloud Connectivity using ExpressRoute, VPN Gateways, and SD-WAN solutions.


• Configure and optimize Azure Load Balancers, Application Gateway (WAF), Azure Firewall, and DDoS Protection.


• Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize cloud network performance for latency, throughput, and availability.


• Support multi-region networking architectures, ensuring reliability and failover mechanisms.


• Enforce Zero Trust network security principles and implement segmentation and isolation strategies.


• Configure Azure Firewall, Web Application Firewall (WAF), and DDoS Protection for security hardening.


• Ensure secure access controls using RBAC, NSGs, and Private Link for sensitive workloads.


• Conduct network security assessments and implement best practices for compliance (NIST, SOC2, HIPAA, ISO 27001).


• Automate network provisioning and configuration using Terraform, Bicep, or ARM Templates.


• Develop Azure Policy and governance automation to enforce security and compliance requirements.


• Implement self-healing network architectures using Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and KQL.


• Build CI/CD pipelines for network configurations using Azure DevOps and GitHub Actions.


• Use Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and Network Watcher for network monitoring and diagnostics.


• Implement traffic engineering strategies to optimize bandwidth and reduce egress costs.


• Identify and resolve connectivity issues in hybrid and multi-cloud environments.


• Automate alerting and incident response workflows for network-related failures.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of experience in Cloud Networking & Operations, with at least 1 year in Azure.


• Strong expertise in Azure Networking (VNETs, ExpressRoute, Load Balancers, NSGs, Private Link, WAF, Firewall, DDoS).


• Hands-on experience in Hybrid Cloud Networking (VPN, MPLS, SD-WAN, SASE).


• Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Bicep, ARM Templates) for network automation.


• Experience with Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and KQL for network troubleshooting.


• Understanding of Zero Trust Networking, network segmentation, and security best practices.


• Strong written and verbal English skills for effective communication.


• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities for complex cloud network issues.


• Excellent communication and collaboration with Security, DevOps, and Cloud Operations teams.


• Ability to document network architectures, troubleshooting guides, and automation scripts.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with multi-cloud networking and hybrid cloud solutions.


• Familiarity with AI-driven network monitoring and predictive analytics.


• Certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Network Engineer Associate, Cisco CCNP.


• Experience with API Gateway, Service Mesh, and DNS strategies.
