Summary
- The Sales Representatives will be responsible for driving sales by achieving targets, maintaining customer relationships, and managing the sales process from inquiry to delivery.
Key Responsibilities
Prospect for New Customers:
- Actively search for new retail and wholesale customers within assigned territories.
- Expand the company’s customer base through market visits, field activities, and referrals.
Market Visits & Territory Coverage:
- Conduct regular visits to markets, shops, distributors, and customers within assigned areas.
- Monitor product availability, visibility, and competitor presence in the market.
- Ensure point-of-sale materials are displayed and stocked appropriately.
Sales Solicitation & Relationship Management:
- Contact existing customers from the customer base to generate repeat sales.
- Maintain regular communication with clients to build strong, long-term relationships.
- Follow up on customer orders to ensure timely processing and delivery.
Order Processing & Payment Confirmation:
- Prepare accurate sales order forms for each transaction.
- Confirm customer payments and coordinate with the finance and logistics departments for fulfillment.
Product Introduction & Market Expansion:
- Introduce and promote new plastic household products in the market.
- Conduct demonstrations and educate customers on product features and benefits.
Customer Service & Complaint Handling:
- Attend to the customer inquiries and resolve complaints promptly and professionally.
- Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through excellent post-sale support.
Market Intelligence & Competitor Monitoring:
- Conduct regular market surveys to assess product demand and identify opportunities.
- Collect samples and information from competitors to support internal product development and pricing strategies.
Reporting & Feedback:
- Maintain up-to-date records of sales activities, market visits, and customer interactions.
- Submit daily, weekly, and monthly reports to the Sales Manager.
Requirements
- Interested candidates should possess an HND / Bachelors Degree
- 1 - 3 years of experience, with a background in Household Plastics sales.
- Candidates must be based in Lagos.
