Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute long-term strategies for network expansion, optimization, and modernization.
- Lead the design and planning of network architecture including core, access, and transmission networks.
- Forecast capacity needs and ensure scalable network infrastructure.
- Oversee day-to-day network operations to ensure high uptime and performance across all services.
- Establish and enforce SLAs and KPIs to maintain service quality and reliability.
- Drive incident management, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement for fault resolution and prevention.
- Lead the rollout of new infrastructure, network upgrades, and special projects.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely delivery of network projects.
- Monitor project budgets, timelines, and quality benchmarks.
- Manage and mentor team of Fibre engineers, Network Engineers and network specialists.
- Evaluate and manage relationships with network equipment vendors, ISPs, and third-party service providers.
- Negotiate contracts and ensure compliance with technical specifications and service delivery terms.
- Ensure adherence to local telecommunications regulations and international best practices.
- Prepare reports and documentation for audits and regulatory submissions.
- Develop and manage the annual budget for network operations and planning.
- Drive adoption of new technologies that improve operational efficiency and network performance.
Academic Qualifications and Experience Required
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, Computer Science, or a related field (Master’s Degree is an advantage).
- Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in network operations, planning, and team management.
- Proven experience with telecommunications network design and service delivery (fiber, wireless, IP/MPLS, core network systems).
- Strong knowledge of network monitoring, fault management, and performance tuning tools.
- Solid understanding of telecom regulatory frameworks and compliance requirements.
- Excellent leadership, project management, and communication skills.
