Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute long-term strategies for network expansion, optimization, and modernization.


• Lead the design and planning of network architecture including core, access, and transmission networks.


• Forecast capacity needs and ensure scalable network infrastructure.


• Oversee day-to-day network operations to ensure high uptime and performance across all services.


• Establish and enforce SLAs and KPIs to maintain service quality and reliability.


• Drive incident management, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement for fault resolution and prevention.


• Lead the rollout of new infrastructure, network upgrades, and special projects.


• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely delivery of network projects.


• Monitor project budgets, timelines, and quality benchmarks.


• Manage and mentor team of Fibre engineers, Network Engineers and network specialists.


• Evaluate and manage relationships with network equipment vendors, ISPs, and third-party service providers.


• Negotiate contracts and ensure compliance with technical specifications and service delivery terms.


• Ensure adherence to local telecommunications regulations and international best practices.


• Prepare reports and documentation for audits and regulatory submissions.


• Develop and manage the annual budget for network operations and planning.


• Drive adoption of new technologies that improve operational efficiency and network performance.

Academic Qualifications and Experience Required

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, Computer Science, or a related field (Master’s Degree is an advantage).


• Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in network operations, planning, and team management.


• Proven experience with telecommunications network design and service delivery (fiber, wireless, IP/MPLS, core network systems).


• Strong knowledge of network monitoring, fault management, and performance tuning tools.


• Solid understanding of telecom regulatory frameworks and compliance requirements.


• Excellent leadership, project management, and communication skills.
