Job Summary
- The Boilers Shift Supervisor is responsible for supervising all field operations related to steam generation and boiler auxiliary systems during their assigned shift.
- The role ensures proper performance of equipment, personnel discipline, and strict adherence to safety and operational procedures.
- The supervisor is a key link between the control room and field operations.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Supervise field operations for all boilers and auxiliary systems.
- Ensure boiler start-up, operation, and shutdown as per SOPs
- Monitor and report equipment performance and field parameters.
- Coordinate with DCS operators and Shift Engineer for load changes.
- Enforce safety protocols and field discipline.
- Conduct field inspections and identify leaks, unusual noise, or hot spots.
- Lead and guide boiler operators and helpers in daily tasks.
- Ensure fuel, air, and feedwater systems are functioning properly.
- Report abnormalities and assist in minor troubleshooting.
- Maintain operation logbooks and hand over detailed shift reports.
Educational Qualification and Work Experience
- Diploma or HND in Mechanical Engineering.
- Professional Certification is an added advantage. (First Class Boiler Attendant is must).
- 5 - 10 years of experience in boiler DCS operation within cogeneration or thermal plants.
