Job Summary




  • The successful candidate will be responsible for the timely and secure delivery of documents, packages, and other items, primarily within the banking and insurance sectors.



Responsibilities




  • Safely and efficiently operate a motorcycle to transport documents, packages, and other items to designated locations.

  • Plan and follow the most efficient routes to ensure timely deliveries, taking into account traffic conditions and potential delays.

  • Ensure the security and integrity of all items being transported.

  • Obtain necessary signatures and acknowledgements upon delivery.

  • Maintain accurate delivery logs and records.

  • Perform daily checks and basic maintenance on the assigned motorcycle and promptly report any mechanical issues.

  • Adhere strictly to all traffic laws and regulations.

  • Represent the company professionally and courteously at all times.

  • Communicate effectively with the dispatch team and relevant personnel regarding delivery status and any potential issues.

  • Maintain a clean and presentable appearance.

  • Perform other related duties as assigned.



Qualifications and Experience




  • Candidates should possess relevant qualifications in a related field.

  • Minimum of 4 years of demonstrable experience as a Dispatch Rider.

  • Proven experience working within the banking and insurance industries is essential.

  • Must possess a valid and up-to-date motorcycle rider's license.

  • Excellent knowledge of Lagos metropolis road networks and traffic patterns.

  • Strong sense of responsibility, punctuality, and attention to detail.

  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.

  • Must be physically fit and able to handle the demands of the job.
