Job Summary
As a Network and infrastructure Officer, you will support and optimize IT infrastructure, with a strong focus on Office 365 application management, system integration, and hardware/software systems troubleshooting. The ideal candidate MUST have hands-on experience in IT support, Symplus, and Infoware software, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Job Details
IT Helpdesk
- Network Administration: Install, configure, and maintain network hardware and software, including routers, switches, firewalls, and VPNs.
- Troubleshooting: Identify, diagnose, and resolve network-related issues, including connectivity problems, slow performance, and security breaches.
- Network Security: Implement and maintain network security measures, including firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and antivirus software.
- Network Monitoring: Monitor network performance, identify potential issues, and take proactive measures to prevent downtime.
- Technical Support: Provide technical support and guidance to users, either in person or remotely, to resolve network-related issues.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of network infrastructure, configurations, and procedures.
- Compliance: Ensure compliance with organizational policies, procedures, and industry regulations.
- Collaboration: Work collaboratively with other IT team members to resolve complex technical issues and implement new technologies.
Business Support:
- Provide training and user guides for common IT processes and best practices.
- Analyze and report on IT performance metrics to optimize support processes.
- Training: Conduct training sessions for staff on new technologies, software applications, and IT policies.
Requirements
- Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in IT operations or related roles.
- Experience in managing Symplus /Infoware software is an added advantage.
- IT certifications (CompTIA A+, Microsoft, Cisco, ITIL) are a plus.
- Knowledge of network protocols, APIs, and system integration.
- Experience with database management, data migration, and security protocols.
- Knowledge of networking concepts, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and VPN.
- Experience with Active Directory, Office 365, and cloud-based applications.
- Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of Windows, Linux, and macOS operating systems, Microsoft Office Suite, M365, Teams, Outlook, and common business applications.
