Job Description
The Senior Loan Officer is responsible for originating, evaluating, and authorizing loans in alignment with the organization’s lending policies and procedures. This role involves developing relationships with clients, ensuring compliance with financial regulations, and leading junior loan officers. The ideal candidate has strong financial analysis skills, deep product knowledge, and a proven track record in loan origination and portfolio management.

Key Responsibilities:
Loan Origination & Evaluation
- Assess, process, and approve loan applications for individuals or businesses.
- Conduct financial analysis, risk assessment, and creditworthiness reviews.
- Recommend appropriate loan structures and terms based on borrower profiles.
Client Relationship Management
- Build and maintain relationships with clients.
- Provide guidance to clients throughout the loan application and approval process.
- Educate borrowers on loan products, requirements, and repayment options.
Compliance & Documentation
- Ensure all loan files are complete and comply with internal policies and external regulations.
- Stay current with industry laws, underwriting guidelines, and compliance standards.
Sales & Business Development
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities.
- Achieve individual and branch lending goals.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, or a related field.
- 4–6 years of experience in loan origination, or financial services.
- Strong knowledge of lending regulations, credit analysis, and loan products.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Proven ability to meet sales goals and deadlines.
