Job Summary:
We are looking for a strategic and technically strong Fixed Wireline Technical Head to lead our fixed access, wireless broadband, and FTTH infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have 8–15 years of relevant experience across UBR, ISM band radios (Cambium, Mimosa), FTTH networks, IP domain, and NMS platforms. This role requires a balanced mix of technical leadership, operational efficiency, financial planning, and customer-centric service delivery.
Job Description
Key Responsibilities: Network Strategy & Planning
- Plan and implement scalable Fixed Wireless Access and FTTH networks, ensuring optimal performance and availability.
- Design wireless broadband solutions using ISM band radios such as Cambium ePMP and Mimosa.
- Support hybrid network strategies for urban broadband coverage. FTTH Deployment & Operations
- Lead the deployment and operation of FTTH networks, including OLT, ONU, fiber rollout, and maintenance. Ensure adherence to GPON/XPON standards and best practices in design and operations. IP Network & Gateway Management
- Manage Layer 2/3 network architecture, including routing, switching, and backbone connectivity.
- Administer and secure border network gateways (BNG, CGNAT, peering, and upstream configurations). Monitoring & NMS Operations
- Deploy and maintain bandwidth monitoring tools like PRTG, LibreNMS, or similar.
- Oversee NMS for Cambium, Mimosa, and FTTH devices for real-time monitoring, provisioning, and alerting. Operational Management
- Ensure high uptime and reliability across access and distribution networks.
- Oversee fault management, escalation resolution, and SLA performance. Capex & Opex Planning
- Prepare and manage network infrastructure budgets.
- Identify opportunities for cost savings through vendor optimization and efficient deployment models. Customer & Stakeholder Engagement
- Serve as the technical escalation point for enterprise and residential customers.
- Coordinate with sales, support, and business teams to enhance customer satisfaction and service quality. Team Leadership
- Lead a cross-functional technical team including planning, NOC, and field engineers.
- Foster a high-performance culture through training, process improvements, and performance tracking. Vendor & Compliance Coordination
- Liaise with vendors for equipment evaluation and procurement.
- Ensure compliance with telecom regulatory frameworks and licensing.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Telecommunications, Electronics, or a related field.
- 8 to 15 years of experience in Fixed Wireline, FTTH, and Wireless Broadband technologies.
- Strong IP networking knowledge, including routing, switching, and gateway management.
- Hands-on experience with UBR networks and ISM band radios like Cambium and Mimosa.
- Proficiency with NMS tools and bandwidth monitoring systems such as PRTG.
- Experience managing border network gateways and service provider infrastructure.
- CCNA certification or equivalent preferred.
- Proven skills in Capex/Opex planning, customer engagement, and technical team leadership.
