- Stella Maris Schools is seeking a passionate, qualified, and experienced Mathematics Teacher to join our vibrant academic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality, engaging, and effective mathematics instruction to students across various grade levels, fostering critical thinking, problem-solving skills, and a strong foundation in numeracy.

Responsibilities
Instructional Delivery:
- Plan, prepare, and deliver dynamic mathematics lessons that cater to a range of abilities and adhere to the Stella Maris curriculum and educational standards.
Curriculum Development:
- Participate in the development, review, and enhancement of the mathematics curriculum to meet national standards and international benchmarks.
Assessment and Evaluation:
- Design and administer a variety of assessments to monitor student progress, provide timely feedback, and support differentiated instruction.
Student Support:
- Identify individual learning needs and provide academic support and mentorship to help students achieve their full potential.
Classroom Management:
- Maintain an organized, respectful, and inclusive classroom environment that promotes student engagement and discipline in line with the school’s code of conduct.
Collaboration:
- Work collaboratively with fellow teachers, school leadership, and parents to support student learning and school initiatives.
Professional Development:
- Participate in ongoing training, workshops, and other professional development activities to stay current with best teaching practices and technological tools.
Extracurricular Involvement:
- Support or lead mathematics clubs, competitions, or other co-curricular activities that enhance students’ interest and competency in the subject.
Record Keeping and Reporting:
- Maintain accurate student records, gradebooks, and progress reports, and communicate effectively with stakeholders on student performance and behavior.
Requirements
- A Bachelor's Degree in Mathematics, Mathematics Education, or a related field (Master’s Degree is an advantage).
- Teaching certification or license from a recognized educational authority.
- Minimum of 2 – 5 years of teaching mathematics in a reputable school setting.
- Experience with both national (e.g., WAEC, NECO) and international curricula (e.g., IGCSE, SAT, etc.) is highly desirable.

Work Environment:
