Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems and equipment in the plant, including furnaces, motors, cranes, fabrication machinery, and lighting systems.
Troubleshoot electrical faults and perform preventive and corrective maintenance.
Interpret and work from electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical drawings.
Inspect and test electrical components using appropriate tools and instruments (e.g., multimeters, meggers).
Install conduit, wiring, control panels, switchgear, and distribution systems as per specifications.
Work with PLCs, motor starters, VFDs, and control circuits.
Ensure compliance with electrical codes, safety standards, and company policies.
Maintain records of all electrical maintenance activities and update documentation as required.
Support energy efficiency and electrical safety improvement initiatives.
Respond promptly to emergency breakdowns to minimize downtime.
Coordinate with mechanical fitters, welders, and production staff to ensure smooth operations.
Requirements
Candidates should possess a Bachelor's Degree, HND / OND qualification with relevant work experience.
