Job Summary
- We are hiring an experienced and results-oriented Quantity Surveyor to lead the financial and contractual oversight of high-value construction and real estate development projects. The successful candidate will ensure optimal cost efficiency, budget integrity, and compliance with specifications across multi-storey and complex building projects in Lekki Phase 1 and beyond.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive feasibility studies and develop detailed cost estimates and bills of quantities for real estate projects.
- Prepare, manage, and track project budgets, ensuring alignment with financial objectives and construction milestones.
- Draft, review, and negotiate contracts with subcontractors, suppliers, and consultants.
- Monitor ongoing site activities, verify measurements, and control cost variations through regular site visits.
- Identify potential cost-related risks and proactively implement mitigation strategies.
- Ensure regulatory and contract compliance, providing financial clarity to stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Quantity Surveying or a closely related field.
- 5-7 years’ progressive experience in Quantity Surveying within the real estate or construction sector.
- Professional membership (e.g.,MNIQS) is a strong advantage.
- Demonstrated experience withmulti-storey residential or commercial projects.
- In-depth knowledge of construction contracts, cost planning, and project lifecycle controls.
- Excellent proficiency inquantity surveying tools(e.g.,Autodesk, CostX, or equivalent).
Preferred Qualifications:
- Proficiency in Building Information Modelling (BIM)
- Strong commercial acumen and understanding of Nigerian real estate market dynamics
- Experience supporting real estate investment feasibility and ROI modeling
