The Business Operations Manager will be responsible for identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, developing strategic partnerships, and promoting trade between Nigeria and America (north & south) countries.
The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of international trade, excellent business development skills, and the ability to work with diverse stakeholders.
Responsibilities
Drive business development activities for the company in Nigeria, plan marketing strategies and support the formulation of a long-term business development strategy in the region.
Market the company’s various economic development programs and lead its growth initiatives to expand outreach in Nigeria and West Africa.
Identify and pursue new business opportunities, including trade missions, exhibitions, and conferences within the target outreach.
Conduct market research and analysis to identify trade opportunities.
Follow-up with clients, track progress on opportunities and keep abreast of new developments in the market.
Build and maintain strategic partnerships and relationship with key stakeholders, including government agencies, trade associations, and private sector companies.
Develop access to top government officials, senior management level in private sector organizations and international multilateral agencies supporting trade and export development in Nigeria.
Produce content, infographics, layouts, charts, and templates for proposals.
Develop and deliver trade promotion services, including market intelligence, trade leads, and business matchmaking.
Represent the agency at trade events, conferences, and meetings.
Monitor and report on business development activities and results.
Peculiarity: It involves a lot of travelling
Qualifications
A First Degree in any discipline.
Must have a minimum of 6 - 8 years’ work experience.
Demonstrable ability to interact with senior executives, developing and fostering key relationships at senior level.
High degree of business acumen with evidence-based track record of success.
Good understanding of international trade agreements, policies, and procedures.
Excellent communication (writing & verbal) skills.
Good interpersonal skill.
Self-driven and resilience skills.
Interest in economic development, international business, trade and investment.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and projects.
