About the Role:
We are seeking a creative and detail-oriented Learning Content Developer to design and produce high-impact learning experiences for our data training programs. This role will play a key part in equipping learners with the skills they need to work confidently with data, ranging from foundational literacy to advanced analytics and tools.
This is a full-time remote role for a Curriculum Content Developer at DataLen Limited. The role involves developing curriculum content, instructional design, technical writing, and overall content development to enhance learning materials. The Curriculum Content Developer will be responsible for creating engaging and effective educational content.
You’ll work closely with subject matter experts, data professionals, and a project manager to create content that is practical, engaging, and aligned with real-world applications.
Responsibilities:
- Design and develop compelling learning content, including tutorials, presentations, hands-on labs, quizzes, and capstone projects
- Collaborate with SMEs to ensure accuracy and relevance of content for topics such as data literacy, data visualization, SQL, Python, machine learning and cloud-based analytics.
- Structure content to support multiple delivery formats, including self-paced online modules, virtual training, and in-person workshops.
- Incorporate active learning strategies, real-world datasets, and scenario-based exercises to enhance learner engagement and retention.
- Maintain consistency in tone, design, and accessibility across all learning materials.
- Update and revise content as tools, data practices, and organizational needs evolve.
- Apply instructional design frameworks and adult learning principles to optimize learning outcomes.
- Use feedback, assessment data, and learner analytics to evaluate and improve training effectiveness.
- Coordinate with project managers or program leads to ensure timely delivery of learning assets.
Qualifications:
- Strong grasp of data concepts and tools, such as SQL, Python, Excel, BI platforms (e.g., Tableau, Power BI), or cloud technologies (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
- Demonstrated ability to translate complex technical topics into clear, engaging, and learner-friendly content.
- Excellent communication, organization, and collaboration skills.
- Bonus: Experience in data science, analytics, or working within a data team.
Bonus points if you have:
- 3+ years of experience in instructional design, curriculum development, or content creation—ideally with a focus on data or technical topics.
- Experience with authoring tools (e.g., Articulate, Adobe Captivate, Rise, Camtasia) and/or learning management systems (LMS).
- Familiarity with learning theories, instructional models (e.g., ADDIE, SAM), and adult learning principles.
