Key Roles & Responsibilities
Shisha Preparation & Service:
- Set up, prepare, and serve shisha pipes to guests based on flavour preferences.
- Ensure proper tobacco packing, heat management, and airflow for optimal performance.
- Monitor and replace charcoal regularly to maintain quality and safety.
Guest Interaction:
- Greet guests in a friendly manner and offer recommendations based on their preferences.
- Educate customers on available shisha flavours and combinations.
- Respond promptly to service requests, including pipe cleaning or flavour changes.
Maintenance & Cleanliness:
- Clean and sanitize shisha equipment before and after use.
- Ensure all hoses, bowls, and mouthpieces are hygienic and properly stored.
- Maintain the cleanliness of the shisha area at all times.
Stock & Inventory Management:
- Monitor inventory levels of shisha flavours, charcoal, foil, and accessories.
- Report low stock or equipment issues to the supervisor.
- Assist in restocking and organising supplies as needed.
Safety & Compliance:
- Follow fire and health safety regulations, especially when handling hot charcoal.
- Ensure guests are smoking responsibly and within designated lounge areas.
- Dispose of used coal and tobacco in a safe and environmentally friendly manner.
Team Collaboration:
- Work with servers and floor staff to deliver timely and seamless service.
- Assist during lounge setups, events, or peak hours when needed.
Requirements
- Previous experience as a shisha operator or in a similar hospitality role (preferred).
- Good knowledge of shisha/hookah preparation and flavor mixing.
- Attention to hygiene, safety, and presentation.
- Friendly, customer-oriented personality with good communication skills.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
