Plans, formulates and implements strategies for the growth and development of the organization after due approval from the Council.
Promotes the interchange of ideas between member-firms and their counterparts from across the world through attendance at both local and international bookfairs, seminars and conferences.
Coordinates training programmes both locally and overseas.
Acts on behalf of Publishers on regulatory matters and policy issues with government and its agencies.
Ensures the implementation of the Association's policies and the achievement of its objects as directed by the council.
In accordance with the instructions given by the President and/or Council, act as the spokesperson of the association in dealings with external organizations.
Prepare the annual budget: Oversees the operation of office accounts, plans and monitors expenditures as appropriate, develops and/ or coordinates budget for the office account and associated accounts.
Organizes and facilitates meetings, conferences and other special events; coordinates and attends meetings, and participates in committee discussions as appropriate.
Convene all meetings on the instructions of the President.
Record, keep minutes of all meetings, and handle the correspondence of the association.
Serves as primary point of administrative contact and liaison with member firms, individuals and institutions on operational and pragmatic matters concerning the association.
Conducts research and analysis on specific issues as it affects the publishing/book industry in Nigeria.
Oversees and coordinates the operation of anti-piracy activities across the country.
Oversees and coordinates resources management and administration procedures of the association and directs the association's secretariat.
Planning and production of the organization's publications. The NPA magazine and online newsletter.
Develop fundraising strategies for the organization from both members and from other stakeholders.
The sustainability of member firms shall be of paramount importance to the ES. He/She should therefore inform and rally others to assist members in need of support.
The ES should display maturity, confidentiality, leadership dynamism and be prepared to handle crises within and without.
Other duties as may be assigned by the President and/or the Executive Council.
Qualifications
BSc./HND in Business Administration, Social Science and other related courses.
Must have Managerial capacity.
5+ year experience in managing C-suite Executives.
Exceptional communication skills- verbal and written.
