Position Summary
- The Practice Manager is responsible for the day-to-day operations of Petcare Animal Hospital. This leadership role ensures smooth functioning across all departments, supports the medical team, oversees client relations, manages staff performance, and contributes to strategic planning.
- The Practice Manager plays a key role in maintaining operational excellence and a culture of care and professionalism.
Key Responsibilities
Operations Management:
- Oversee daily administrative and clinical operations to ensure seamless service delivery.
- Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) in line with best veterinary practices.
- Manage inventory, facility maintenance, and vendor relations.
Team Leadership & HR Management:
- Supervise, mentor, and evaluate support staff and front desk personnel.
- Coordinate recruitment, onboarding, training, and scheduling of staff.
- Promote a positive and collaborative work environment with a strong focus on professional growth and staff well-being.
Client Experience & Communication:
- Ensure high-quality customer service and timely resolution of client concerns.
- Supervise the reception team to ensure appointments, follow-ups, and communication are handled efficiently.
- Implement systems to gather and respond to client feedback.
Financial Oversight:
- Assist in budgeting, financial planning, and reporting.
- Monitor expenses, manage payroll, and support billing accuracy.
- Track performance metrics and generate monthly reports for the Medical Director.
Compliance & Quality Assurance:
- Ensure adherence to all relevant regulatory, health, and safety standards.
- Monitor and update medical records and documentation practices.
- Maintain confidentiality of client and patient information at all times.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Management, or related field (preferred).
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a management or supervisory role, preferably in a veterinary or healthcare setting.
- Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
- Passion for animal care and a commitment to providing excellent client service.
