Key Responsibilities

Curriculum Delivery:




  • Design and deliver engaging lesson plans that incorporate both British and Nigerian curriculum requirements for Geography and Global Perspectives.

  • Teach key concepts in human and physical geography including climate, ecosystems, population, development, urbanization, and sustainability.

  • Foster inquiry and interdisciplinary thinking through Global Perspectives topics such as global conflict, the environment, cultural identity, and globalization.

  • Prepare and administer assessments aligned with IGCSE, A-level, and WAEC/NECO standards.

  • Provide timely, constructive feedback to support academic growth and critical thinking.

  • Maintain detailed records of student achievement, attendance, and participation.

  • Create a respectful and inclusive learning environment that encourages collaboration and active student participation.

  • Use classroom management strategies that reflect both British and Nigerian educational practices.



Qualifications




  • Bachelor’s Degree in Geography, International Relations, Environmental Science, or a related field (Master’s preferred).

  • Qualified Teacher Status or Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) desirable.

  • Demonstrated experience teaching both British and Nigerian curricula.



Skills and Experience:




  • At least 2 years of teaching experience in Geography or Global Perspectives.

  • Strong understanding of global issues, geographic inquiry, and interdisciplinary learning.

  • Proficient in using digital tools to enhance teaching and learning.

  • Excellent communication, presentation, and organizational skills.
