Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement comprehensive lesson plans for Biology and Basic Science following both British and Nigerian curricular standards.


• Teach key concepts including cell biology, genetics, ecology, human anatomy, health, plant and animal life, energy, matter, and environmental science.


• Incorporate practical laboratory sessions, demonstrations, and project-based learning to enhance student engagement and understanding.


• Prepare and administer assessments consistent with IGCSE, A-level, and WAEC/NECO standards.


• Provide timely and constructive feedback to students to support academic improvement.


• Maintain accurate records of student achievement, attendance, and progress.


• Create and maintain a safe, organized, and stimulating learning environment.


• Oversee the setup, use, and maintenance of lab equipment and materials.


• Reinforce lab safety protocols and ensure compliance during practical sessions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Biology, Science Education, or a related field (Master’s preferred).


• Minimum of 2 years teaching experience in Biology and/or Basic Science


• Qualified Teacher Status or Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) desirable.


• Experience with both British and Nigerian curricula is essential.


• Strong understanding of laboratory practices and scientific methods.


• Excellent classroom management and communication skills.


• Ability to integrate technology and multimedia into science teaching effectively.
