Key Responsibilities

Health and Safety Management:




  • Monitor and promote the health and safety of students and staff by ensuring compliance with school health policies and government regulations.

  • Implement and manage health and safety procedures for emergencies, including fire drills and evacuation plans.

  • Conduct regular health and safety inspections of school facilities, identifying potential hazards and recommending solutions.

  • Provide first aid and emergency care to students and staff as needed.

  • Maintain an up-to-date inventory of medical supplies and ensure they are readily available when required.

  • Record and report accidents, injuries, illnesses, and any incidents requiring medical attention.

  • Maintain accurate and confidential health records for students and staff, including vaccination records, medical histories, and treatment plans.

  • Regularly update the school’s medical logs and reports, ensuring compliance with health regulations.

  • Communicate health information to parents/guardians as required and maintain good relationships with external health providers and authorities



Qualifications




  • Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing, Public Health, or a related field. A medical qualification (e.g., Nurse, Paramedic) is highly desirable.

  • Certification in First Aid and CPR.

  • Previous experience in a school or healthcare setting is preferred.

  • Knowledge of child health, safety standards, and emergency care.

  • Strong understanding of health and safety regulations, emergency procedures, and first aid practices.

  • Ability to manage confidential health information and maintain privacy.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with students, staff, and parents effectively.

  • Compassionate and patient, with the ability to handle sensitive situations calmly and professionally.

  • Strong organizational and record-keeping skills.
