Overall Responsibilities

• Maintain high standards in all aspects of school life, particularly in student progress.


• Develop and deliver engaging mathematics lessons that align with the curriculum and educational standards.


• Identify students who are struggling and provide appropriate support and interventions to help them succeed. This might involve offering extra help or suggesting resources.


• Engage in professional development through the school's appraisal process.


• Contribute positively to the school's professional and purposeful culture.


• Incorporate innovative teaching methods, including technology, to enhance the learning process.


• Maintain an appropriate teaching load, including participation in extra-curricular activities.


• Stay updated with curriculum developments and align lesson plans accordingly.


• Plan, prepare, and document lessons following the school curriculum.


• Ensure curriculum delivery is engaging, challenging, and appropriate for student needs.


• Conduct ongoing formative and summative assessments to monitor student progress.


• Experience with differentiated instruction and curriculum development.


• Maintain high expectations for student performance and achievement.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor's Degree in Mathematics, Education, or a related field


• Minimum of 2-3 years of teaching experience.


• Knowledge of the Nigerian curriculum and experience with IGCSE/A-Level is an advantage.


• Proficiency in the use of ICT to support teaching and learning.


• Experience in extracurricular activities is desirable.


• Familiarity with online learning platforms and interactive teaching tools
