We are seeking a talented and detail-oriented Interior Architect to design and oversee the spatial and aesthetic development of event spaces.
The successful candidate will play a key role in transforming venues into immersive, functional, and visually compelling environments that align with each event’s theme and objectives.
Key Responsibilities
Collaborate with event planners, clients, and creative teams to conceptualize spatial layouts and design themes.
Develop architectural plans, interior layouts, and 3D visualizations for event spaces.
Source and specify materials, furniture, lighting, and finishes that align with design goals and budget.
Prepare technical drawings and specifications for vendors and contractors.
Ensure compliance with safety, structural, and regulatory requirements in temporary event constructions.
Visit venues to conduct site assessments and supervise installations and teardown.
Integrate branding elements and multimedia into spatial designs (e.g., digital screens, interactive zones).
Manage multiple projects with tight deadlines and frequent client input.
Stay up to date with design trends, materials, and innovations relevant to experiential environments.
Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Interior Architecture, Interior Design, or Architecture.
3+ years of relevant experience, preferably in events, exhibitions, or hospitality design.
Strong portfolio showcasing spatial and interior designs (especially for temporary or modular setups).
Proficient in design and rendering software (e.g., AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, Adobe Creative Suite, 3ds Max).
Understanding of lighting, acoustics, furniture layouts, and ergonomics.
Knowledge of construction techniques, materials, and health & safety codes.
Excellent project management and interpersonal skills.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, client-facing environment.
Preferred Skills:
Experience in event set design, stage architecture, or experiential marketing.
Ability to work collaboratively with decorators, florists, lighting designers, and AV teams.
Familiarity with Lagos event venues and local vendors.
