We seek a dynamic and experienced Economics / Commerce teacher capable of delivering high-quality instruction aligned with a hybrid British-Nigerian curriculum.
The teacher will guide students in developing strong analytical, critical thinking, and practical business skills applicable locally and globally.
Key Responsibilities
Design and deliver lesson plan integrating British (IGCSE/A-levels) and Nigerian (WAEC/NECO) curricula requirements.
Teach core concepts in Economics, including Microeconomics, Macroeconomics, and fundamental principles of Commerce such as Accounting, Marketing, Trade, Entrepreneurship, and Business Management.
Prepare and administer assessments aligning with British and Nigerian examination standards.
Grade and provide timely, constructive feedback to students to enhance their academic performance.
Maintain accurate records of student progress, attendance, and participation.
Establish a positive and engaging learning environment that promotes respectful interactions and productive student behaviour.
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Economics, Commerce, Business Administration, or a related field.
Minimum of 2 years teaching experience, preferably in a hybrid curriculum environment.
Qualified Teacher Status or Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) desirable.
Familiarity with British (IGCSE/A-levels) and Nigerian (WAEC/NECO) curricula essential.
Strong understanding of the Nigerian educational context and the British examination system.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and classroom management skills.
Ability to integrate technology effectively into teaching and learning.
