Department: Dental Clinic

Reports To: Head of Dental Services / Clinical Director



Role Overview:



We are looking for a skilled and compassionate Dentist to join our clinical team. The successful candidate will provide high-quality dental care, including preventive, restorative, and surgical treatments. You will play a key role in promoting oral health, diagnosing dental issues, and delivering patient-centered care in line with our hospital’s standards and ethics.



Key Responsibilities:




  • Perform thorough dental examinations and diagnose oral health issues.

  • Carry out a wide range of dental procedures including fillings, crowns, root canals, extractions, and cosmetic dentistry.

  • Administer local anesthesia and perform minor oral surgeries as required.

  • Counsel patients on oral hygiene, preventive care, and post-procedure recovery.

  • Maintain precise and confidential patient records using the hospital's documentation protocols.

  • Ensure compliance with sterilization, infection control, and clinical safety procedures.

  • Collaborate with dental assistants, hygienists, and other healthcare professionals.

  • Stay current with new developments in dental medicine and technologies.

  • Participate in clinical audits, quality assurance programs, and hospital-wide health initiatives.



Requirements:




  • Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) or equivalent from an accredited institution.

  • Full registration and valid practicing license with the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria (MDCN).

  • Minimum of 2–3 years post-NYSC clinical experience in a hospital or dental clinic setting.

  • Proficiency in a variety of dental procedures and the use of modern dental equipment.

  • Strong diagnostic, clinical, and communication skills.

  • Experience using dental management software is an added advantage.
