Reports To: Head of Radiology / Chief Medical Director



Role Overview:



We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Radiologist to join our radiology department. The ideal candidate will be responsible for interpreting a wide range of diagnostic imaging studies and collaborating with clinical teams to provide high-quality patient care. This role involves both clinical and supervisory responsibilities, and offers opportunities to work with advanced imaging technologies in a multidisciplinary hospital environment.



Key Responsibilities:




  • Analyze and interpret diagnostic images including X-rays, CT scans, MRIs, ultrasound, and mammograms.

  • Prepare and deliver accurate radiology reports to referring physicians.

  • Provide expert guidance in image-guided diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, where applicable.

  • Work closely with clinicians to support patient diagnosis and treatment plans.

  • Oversee the daily operations of the imaging suite and ensure adherence to quality and safety standards.

  • Supervise radiologic technologists and junior staff, offering training and support where necessary.

  • Participate in departmental meetings, audits, and research activities.

  • Ensure strict compliance with medical ethics, patient confidentiality, and regulatory requirements.

  • Stay abreast of current trends and technological advancements in diagnostic imaging.



Qualifications and Requirements:




  • MBBS or equivalent medical degree from a recognized institution.

  • Fellowship in Radiology (FWACP, FMCR, or equivalent).

  • Full registration and current license with the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria (MDCN).

  • Minimum of 3–5 years post-fellowship experience in a hospital or diagnostic center.

  • Proven proficiency in a wide range of imaging modalities.

  • Strong diagnostic, communication, and organizational skills.

  • Dedication to high standards of patient care and professional ethics.



Preferred Skills and Attributes:




  • Sub-specialty training in interventional radiology, pediatric imaging, or neuroradiology.

  • Familiarity with PACS (Picture Archiving and Communication System) and RIS (Radiology Information System).

  • Passion for mentoring and training junior clinicians or radiographers.

  • Strong team player with leadership potential.
