We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Legal Secretary for our client in Port Harcourt.
The ideal candidate will provide efficient and confidential secretarial services, ensure timely document preparation, and maintain the smooth operation of legal procedures.
Key Responsibilities
Develop legal documents including contracts, agreements, memos, letters, and court filings.
Manage meetings, and organize legal appointments.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date filing systems for legal documents, case files, and correspondence.
Liaise with courts, regulatory agencies, clients, and external counsel as required.
Prepare legal documents for notarization, authentication, or registration.
Support the legal team in maintaining compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements.
Monitor deadlines and ensure timely submissions and filings.
Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information and protect privileged communications.
Requirements
Minimum of LL. B (Bachelor of Laws)
Minimum of 2 years’ experience as a legal secretary or in a similar administrative/legal support role.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
