We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accountant to manage the financial operations of our hospitality business.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day accounting tasks, preparing financial reports, managing budgets, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
This role requires a deep understanding of accounting practices within the hospitality sector.
Key Responsibilities
Record and maintain daily financial transactions including sales, expenses, and bank reconciliations
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports
Manage accounts payable and receivable processes
Oversee inventory and cost control processes to ensure proper tracking and valuation
Monitor budgets, cash flow, and expenditures
Process payroll and ensure timely tax remittances (e.g., VAT, PAYE, WHT)
Liaise with auditors, tax consultants, and regulatory authorities
Implement and maintain effective internal controls
Assist in financial planning and analysis to support business decisions
Provide financial insights to management for strategic planning
Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
Minimum of 2 years of accounting experience (preferably in hospitality)
Strong knowledge of accounting principles, hospitality cost control, and inventory systems
Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, or Zoho Books)
Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
Experience with POS integration and hospitality reporting tools
Familiarity with Nigerian tax laws and statutory reporting
