Job Summary
- The Cleaner is responsible for maintaining a clean, sanitary, and safe environment within the organization’s premises.
- This includes offices, restrooms, meeting rooms, kitchens, and other common areas.
- This role contributes to the overall health, hygiene, and productivity of staff by ensuring high standards of cleanliness are always upheld.
Responsibilities
Individual/Firm Activities & Deliverables:
The scope of work for the Cleaners should cover but not limited to the following services:
Daily Cleaning Duties:
- Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors in all offices, corridors, and common areas.
- Dust and wipe desks, windowsills, shelves, and office equipment.
- Empty waste bins, replace liners, and ensure proper disposal of waste.
- Clean and sanitize restrooms and replenish toiletries (toilet paper, hand soap, etc.).
Periodic Deep Cleaning:
- Conduct deep cleaning of office areas, including furniture, carpets, and air vents.
- Wash windows, walls, and partitions as needed.
- Disinfect high-touch areas to prevent the spread of germs.
Kitchen and Utility Area Maintenance:
- Keep kitchen and dining areas clean and organized.
- Wash dishes, utensils, and ensure water dispensers and appliances are hygienic.
- Refill supplies such as dishwashing soap, paper towels, and drinking water when necessary.
Meeting Room Support:
- Prepare meeting rooms by ensuring cleanliness and setting up materials as requested.
- Serve refreshments during meetings when assigned.
Supplies Management:
- Monitor and request cleaning materials and consumables in a timely manner.
- Ensure proper storage and safe use of cleaning chemicals and equipment.
Health, Safety & Security:
- Report any maintenance needs or safety hazards to the supervisor promptly.
- Adhere to all health and safety guidelines, including safe handling of cleaning products.
- Ensure cleaning equipment is in good working condition and stored properly after use.
- Be willing to support operation assistant whenever as may be required.
Qualifications & Experience
- Minimum of primary or secondary school education.
- Previous experience in a similar cleaning role, preferably with an NGO or in an office environment.
- Basic knowledge of cleaning techniques and use of cleaning equipment.
