Drive Test Equipment Handling: Proficient in setting up, operating, and maintaining drive test equipment in diverse and sometimes challenging environments.
KPI Analysis: Ability to understand and interpret key performance indicators (KPIs), including dropped call rates, call setup success rates, signal strength, and data throughput.
Drive Testing Tools Expertise: Hands-on experience with drive testing tools such as TEMS, Rhode & Schwarz, and TEMS Pocket for accurate data collection.
Interference Detection: Skilled in using spectrum analyzers to detect interference, signal degradation, and other radio issues affecting network quality.
Network Technology Knowledge: Solid understanding of wireless network technologies such as GSM, CDMA, UMTS, LTE, and 5G, including their architecture and performance characteristics.
RF & Cellular Architecture: Strong grasp of radio frequency (RF) principles, radio propagation, and cellular network design fundamentals.
GPS & Mapping Tools: Proficient in using GPS and mapping software for planning drive test routes and correlating spatial data with performance metrics.
Real-Time Monitoring: Competence in monitoring and responding to real-time alerts during drive test sessions to ensure data accuracy and responsiveness.
Field Testing Activities: Ability to independently execute a range of testing procedures, including:
Single Site Verification (SSV)
Single Cell Function Testing (SCFT)
Cluster Drive Testing
Benchmark Drive Testing.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or technical diploma in Telecommunications, Engineering, or a related technical field.
2 years of hands-on experience in network drive testing or a closely related role.
Strong analytical thinking skills to identify patterns, interpret results, and provide data-driven recommendations.
Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving abilities to evaluate information and support network optimization efforts.
Strong written and verbal communication skills in English to document findings, write reports, and collaborate with internal teams.
Willingness to perform extensive fieldwork and adapt to changing project demands.
Team-oriented mindset with a results-driven and action-oriented approach to work.
