The Technical Procurement Manager is responsible for the sourcing and procurement related to technical products and services, ie., engineering software, spares, heavy-duty, and construction equipment, while ensuring compliance, strong vendor management, drive effective supplier negotiations, cost efficiency, and timely, high-quality delivery aligned with project goals.
Qualifications
Candidates should posses a Bachelor's Degree / HND in Engineering or a related field from a reputable tertiary institution is required.
A Master's Degree and membership in a relevant professional certification (e.g., CSCP, CPSM, CPM) are added advantages.
A minimum of 20 years' work experience in procurement management with core engineering technical managerial experience of at least 10 years, is compulsory within the oil and gas industry.
Proven track record in successfully negotiating complex contracts and managing supplier relationships.
Proficiency in design, implementation, and management of inventory controlsystems.
Strong understanding of procurement and supply chain management best practices.
Excellent managerial, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
Strong proficiency with ERP systems software (SAP, Oracle, etc.) and using Microsoft Office Suite.
Strong technical understanding of oil & gas equipment and services.
