Responsibilities
Inventory Management:
- Maintain an accurate record of all medical consumables in stock, including expiry dates and quantities.
- Conduct regular stock audits and cycle counts.
- Regularly inspect expiry dates and ensure proper rotation of stock (FIFO: First In, First Out).
- Monitor and control stock to prevent overstocking and stockouts.
- Ensure proper labeling and categorization of inventory items.
Receiving and Inspection:
- Inspect incoming and outgoing shipments for accuracy and quality compliance.
- Coordinate with procurement and suppliers for any discrepancies or damages.
- Log all received items and update inventory records for all warehouses.
Storage and Organization:
- Ensure proper storage conditions and organization of goods.
- Implement best practices for warehouse layout and space utilization.
- Oversee cleanliness and orderliness of the storage area.
Issuance and Distribution:
- Ensure timely and accurate distribution of supplies.
- Track and document material issuance for accountability.
Documentation and Record Keeping:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date inventory records in the system.
- Prepare real-time reports on stock status, consumption trends, and inventory levels.
- Ensure compliance with documentation standards and company policies.
Safety and Compliance:
- Follow safety procedures and guidelines for material handling.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and health standards.
- Report any safety concerns or incidents promptly.
Coordination and Communication:
- Collaborate with procurement, accounts, and operations teams for inventory planning.
- Liaise with vendors and suppliers to ensure timely deliveries.
- Provide support for audits and inspections.
Order PLacement:
- Review and authorize Sales orders to ensure they align with demand and availability.
- Acknowledges Sales order,adds orders to cart and communicates to the account teams
- Ensure timely movement of orders from warehouse to pick-up/delivery locations.
- Work with the logistics team to ensure smooth transportation of goods
Qualifications and Experience
- Minimum of a Degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or related field is an advantage.
- 2–3 years of experience in storekeeping, inventory control, or warehouse operations (preferably in a manufacturing or healthcare environment).
- Proficient in the use of inventory management systems and Microsoft Excel.
- Strong organizational and record-keeping skills.
- Attention to detail with a high degree of accuracy.
- Good physical condition and ability to lift heavy items when required.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Knowledge of health and safety standards is an added advantage.
