Responsibilities

Teaching and Learning:

• Plan and deliver engaging music lessons to students of varying abilities and ages.


• Assess student progress, provide feedback, and set achievable goals.

ABRSM Exams:

• Prepare students for ABRSM music exams, including theory, practical, and performance components.


• Provide individualized instruction and support to students preparing for exams.


• Administer mock exams and assessments to evaluate student readiness.

Choir and Orchestra:

• Recruit, train, and direct a school choir and/or orchestra.


•  Plan and lead rehearsals, concerts, and performances.


• Develop students' musical skills, including vocal technique, instrumental proficiency, and ensemble playing.

Additional Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with other music teachers and staff to develop music programs and events.


• Participate in school music events, concerts, and festivals.


• Maintain music equipment, instruments, and facilities.

Pastoral Care:

• Support students' personal and social development through music education.


• Foster a positive and inclusive music department environment.


• Encourage students to develop their musical talents and interests.

Requirements

• Candidates should possess a B.Sc Degree in related fields with 3 years work experience.
