Job Responsibilities




  • Responsible for the planning and coordination of all maintenance activities within the office and guest house areas.

  • Responsible for closely monitoring of assigned maintenance task until closed out.

  • Must be able to vet quotations submitted by vendors to ensure competitive price in favour of the company at all times.

  • Responsible for submitting in a timely manner weekly maintenance budgets to the direct line manager

  • Must maintain a detailed log of all company vendors, and must be able to recruit more vendors and blacklist non performing ones.

  • Will be responsible for the maintenance and safe keeping of all company tools for work.

  • Will support the Line Manager on all facility related matters as assigned.

  • Must be willing to work extended hours should the need arise to ensure all critical task are completed.

  • Shall be responsible for receiving every maintenance complaint or request. Required to create detailed log showing date of request and completion time.

  • Expected to work in highest level of efficiency, showing ingenuity in resolving problems and honesty in all manner of dealing especially with independent contractors.

  • Immediate notification of the direct manager concerning non-conformances and unusual events, particularly in relation to facility issues.

  • Required to attend all company training and meetings when invited



Requirements




  • Candidates should possess an HND / B.Sc Degree with at least 2 years work experience.

  • Excellent organizational and coordination skills

  • Ability to collaborate well with supervisors, peers and vendors.

  • Ability to follow safety instructions and champion all company safety rules and regulations.

  • Ability to take initiative and work with little direct supervision.

  • Excellent administrative and follow up skills to achieve successful maintenance and repair deadlines.

  • Good manual dexterity.

  • High degree of honesty, observing all company ethics in dealing with independent contractors for the company.

  • Computer literate and able to use MS Word, Excel, Assess and PowerPoint.

  • Academic Education to BS level minimum.

  • Excellent written and spoken English is mandatory.

  • Must be living within the island.
