About the job




  • We are looking for a Senior Procurement Lead to join our Finance team as we scale up and drive digital and financial inclusion across our markets.

  • This role involves optimizing our procurement function while contributing to accounting accuracy, developing and executing procurement strategies, managing key vendor relationships, ensuring stakeholder satisfaction, and driving continuous improvement in cost efficiency and processes. A unique aspect of this role involves approximately 20% of responsibilities dedicated to ensuring the accuracy of procurement-related accounting entries and supporting the finance team.

  • Leading procurement initiatives you will work as a strategic partner, vendor relationship manager and process optimizer within a team which places emphasis on cost efficiency, operational excellence and continuous improvement as well as accounting accuracy across all procurement activities.

  • Our expectations are that you would be comfortable working as part of a cross-functional team which owns the entire procurement lifecycle, including vendor management, cost optimization and financial accuracy, throughout strategic planning to implementation under a collaborative culture. If you also value continuous process improvement and embrace efficiency and stakeholder satisfaction as first order concerns in procurement operations, you probably have what it takes to join the team and shape our future. We are looking for good grasp of and experience with procurement strategy, vendor management, ERP systems, financial processes and process improvement.

  • Essential requirements include a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Finance or related field, along with a minimum of three years' experience in data capturing, finance or procurement environment. You should have strong decision-making aptitude and numerical analysis skills, experience in data collection and analysis, proficiency in ERP Data Entry, Microsoft Office suite, and Procure-to-Pay processes.

  • Key competencies we are seeking include exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail, strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, excellent communication skills and team collaboration abilities, proven ability to build and maintain vendor relationships, understanding of accounting principles and their application to procurement, and a passion for operational excellence and process improvements to achieve efficiency and effectiveness.
