A reputable Insurance and Reinsurance Broking firm, a major player in the Nigerian Insurance Industry with proven track record of excellence for over four decades, seeks to hire a senior executive with the expertise to drive technical operations in a dynamic and innovative environment.



The successful candidate will be a professional with exceptional technical acumen and leadership capabilities to oversee our technical operations and contribute to our continued growth and success.



Key Responsibilities:



Technical Operations Management:




  • Lead and manage the technical operations team, ensuring policy documents accuracy, the efficient handling of insurance and reinsurance placements.

  • Oversee underwriting, claims processing, and risk assessment functions.



Business Development:




  • Develop strategies to grow revenue by building strong client relationships and expanding the company’s portfolio.

  • Own and hit/exceed sales targets



Regulatory Compliance:




  • Ensure all technical operations comply with regulatory requirements and industry standards.

  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of market trends, policies, and regulations.



Reporting:




  • Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual technical reports.



Team Leadership:




  • Mentor and guide team members, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous learning.

  • Implement training programs to enhance team expertise and efficiency.



Requirements




  • BA/BSc/HND; A Master’s degree is an advantage.

  • Associate Member of Chartered Insurance Institute of Nigeria (ACIIN) or Chartered Insurance Institute, UK;

  • Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience, with at least 5 years in a senior technical or managerial role;

  • Experience in either/both of Oil & Gas and Aviation Insurance is highly desirable;

  • Proven ability to manage technical operations and lead diverse teams;

  • Must have an all-round commercial awareness of the business and analytical approach to underwriting;

  • Excellent communication, presentation and reporting skills;

  • Good use of Microsoft office suite (Excel, Word and PowerPoint).
