A reputable Insurance and Reinsurance Broking firm, a major player in the Nigerian Insurance Industry with proven track record of excellence for four decades, seeks to hire a result-oriented and experienced professional as an Insurance Manager, Technical. 



The successful candidate must be a self-motivated team player with aggressive drive to improve client service procedures and ensure optimal operating efficiency across all functions of the Underwriting and Claims Unit. 



Responsibilities




  • Prepares and evaluates proposals/bids in line with best practices for clients across different industries;

  • General underwriting and preparing of broking/other technical documents for different classes of insurance;

  • Prepares pre and post renewal insurance registers for clients; 

  • Communicate value proposition through proposals and presentations;

  • Key Account Management; 

  • Own and hit annual sales targets;

  • Claims Processing:

  • reconciliation of underwriting accounts with various clients and underwriters;

  • ensuring prompt settlement of claims in the interest of the clients;

  • Prepares monthly, quarterly and annual technical reports;

  • Other insurance technical matters and general tasks assigned per time.



Requirements




  • BA/BSc/HND;

  • Associate Member of Chartered Insurance Institute of Nigeria (ACIIN) or Chartered Insurance Institute, UK;

  • Customer Service Intelligence;

  • Relevant practical experience of underwriting and claims processes;

  • Personality: A go-getter, enthusiastic and results-oriented;

  • Strong, creative, must have an all-round commercial awareness of the business and analytical approach to underwriting;

  • Integrity (Inspire trust and confidence in clients and co-workers);

  • Excellent communication, presentation and reporting skills;

  • Good use of Microsoft office suite (Excel, Word and PowerPoint).
