Job Description
Job Purpose
- Reporting to the company QA/QC Manager, you will ensure and maintain a quality management system on assigned projects according to the company's policy requirements, together with national and international standards and client specifications.
Responsibilities
- Perform all daily inspections and tests of the scope and character necessary to achieve the quality of construction required in the drawings and specifications for all works.
- Carry out inspection and check for all quality-related procedures in the site, and ensure activity at the site is as per the approved method statement and inspection test plan
- Coordinate with the consultant’s representative and site engineer for inspection and meetings about quality problems, including the closure of the NCR.
- Report to the QAQC Manager, control and monitor all activities related to the quality management system (QMS).
- Taking care of the QAQC documents of the entire project, including certificates, calibration, test results, inspection requests, non-compliance reports and site instructions/observations, permanent materials delivered, and other QAQC documents.
- Responsible for closing the Non-conformance Report (NCR) and site instruction.
- Abide by the company’s health and safety procedures at all times
- All other related assigned duties
Qualifications and Experience
- Candidates should possess a First Degree / HND in Building Technology, Engineering, Architecture, or Construction Management
- 5 - 7 years’ experience in the QAQC Construction environment.
Technical Competencies:
- Ability to read structural drawings.
- Able to inspect completed work and/or work in progress to determine whether the work meets specifications and plan requirements.
- Ability to interpret and review shop drawings.
- Ability to independently and effectively monitor overall construction performance with regard to technical quality and compliance with design and specification requirements.
