Role Summary
- We are seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to drive revenue growth, meet sales targets, and strengthen client relationships within the elevator and escalator industry.
- The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of B2B sales, market research, and project management, and be capable of working independently to deliver results.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute the sales strategy as defined by the GM, Elevators & Escalators
- Build and manage relationships with an assigned customer base, ensuring their needs are met
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the elevator and escalator segment
- Conduct market research and competitor analysis, including product and pricing evaluations
- Prepare accurate and timely sales performance reports (actual vs. budget)
- Drive the implementation of sales initiatives, campaigns, and events aligned with company goals
- Promote service awareness in the market to support long-term sales and profitability
- Conduct customer surveys and gather relevant industry information
- Develop deep product knowledge and communicate value propositions effectively
- Lead contract negotiations and ensure successful closure of deals
- Liaise with internal teams to monitor project progress and follow up on payment collections.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Engineering, Marketing, or a related field
- Minimum of 4–7 years of relevant work experience in B2B sales or the elevator/escalator industry.
Required Competencies:
- Proven sales and business development skills
- Strong negotiation and relationship management abilities
- Background in Engineering is a plus
- Proficiency in market research methods and tools
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to multitask and manage deadlines effectively
- Strong copywriting and analytical skills
- Solid project management capabilities
- Prior experience in the elevators/escalators industry is highly desirable.
