Job Description

• Bake all cakes, pastries and desserts at the bakery


• Participate in designing and improving recipes


• Measure and combine ingredients using mixers, blenders, heat sources, and other equipment to make baked goods.


• Make frostings that would be used in the bakery


• Liaise with the store keeper for documentation of all raw materials used in the kitchen and stored in the freezer


• Testing ingredients and finished goods to ensure that each item meets food safety requirements.


• Taking client information from the administrative officer and ensuring that specifications are met accurately and on time.


• Ensure the cleaning of the workstation and that all equipment is sanitized and prepared for next order execution.


• Direct and supervise the assistant baker’s activities to make sure that products are up to standard.


• Assess the quality of raw materials before baking.


• Conduct research to develop self originated recipes.


• Ensure that baking utensils and equipment are properly handled and stored.


• Track profitability by maintaining an up to date record of baking operations.

Requirements

• Lowest educational qualification is OND.


• Someone that has at least 2 - 3 years experience in a similar role.


• Has good communication skills, demonstrates creativity, has excellent listening skills, and is detail-oriented.


• Hardworking, smart and can work in a fast paced environment, has basic numeracy skills and excellent time management skills.


• Must be living in close proximity to the bakery in bodija Ibadan.
