Job Summary




  • Our client is looking for an experienced Chief Marketing and Sales Officer (CMSO) to define and execute comprehensive marketing and sales strategies.

  • This role will play a key role in driving customer acquisition, retention, and revenue growth through innovative approaches that resonate with cooperative banking models.

Responsibilities




  • Develop and implement marketing and sales strategies that align with the company’s vision, with a focus on cooperative banking models.

  • Establish revenue targets, analyze market trends, and drive customer engagement through integrated marketing plans.

  • Lead and mentor the sales team, setting clear goals to optimize customer acquisition and retention.

  • Create sales processes and track performance through CRM systems to enhance revenue growth.

  • Identify and execute strategies for expansion into new markets, especially within cooperative banking.

  • Oversee marketing campaigns across digital and offline channels, ensuring brand consistency and effectiveness.

  • Use data analytics to refine marketing strategies and manage partnerships with agencies and vendors.

  • Build a high-performing marketing and sales team, fostering collaboration with cross-functional teams.

  • Provide coaching and performance reviews to drive individual and collective success.

  • Manage the marketing and sales budget effectively, tracking KPIs like customer acquisition cost and return on investment.

  • Report progress to the CEO and executive team regularly.



Requirements




  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field. An MBA or Master’s Degree is preferred.

  • 8+ years in senior marketing and sales roles, preferably within fintech, financial services, or technology sectors.

  • Proven success in revenue-driven marketing and sales strategies, especially within cooperative banking.

  • Experience with both digital and traditional marketing, team leadership, and customer acquisition strategies.

  • International experience in Africa or other emerging markets is a plus.

  • Expertise in digital marketing, sales enablement, and CRM tools like Salesforce or HubSpot.

  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to use data tools like Google Analytics to measure and optimize campaign performance.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with experience building client relationships.

  • In-depth knowledge of cooperative banking models, including positioning and marketing cooperative financial products.

  • Familiarity with relevant regulations in emerging markets.
