Job Summary
- Maintains service operations by inspecting and maintaining truck tyres. Ensure accurate record-keeping and accountability of all tyres received, issued, and retrieved from fleet trucks.
Job Responsibilities
- Ensure tyres are utilized in line with the company’s policy. (100,000KM km coverage for every issued tyre before replacements).
- Maintains adequate tyre records truck truck-wise and in the log book.
- Maintain records for used and returned tyres.
- Ensure full approval and records of tyre transfer between one or multiple trucks.
- Maintains tyre records by recording service and repairs.
- Maintain tyre records fleet-wise and truck-wise.
- Maintain records for old returned tyres to stores before new issuance.
- Register all tyre transfers between two or multiple trucks, and Tyre transfers shall be jointly endorsed by the tyre officer.
- Prepare a report on tyre transactions/utilizations/usage and any observed irregularities on a weekly, monthly, and annual basis.
Qualifications / Experience
- Minimum of HND, B.Sc./M.Sc. degree in Mechanical/Automobile Engineering or any related discipline.
- 3- 5years’ cognate experience in an automotive workshop
- Proven track record on the repairs of Sino trucks, Shackman trucks, GAC, Toyota vans, buses, etc.
Competencies Required:
- Automotive systems (vehicle layout, function, and location of parts)
- Knowledge of mechanical issues, warranties, service, and general repair
- Goal-oriented, Energy, and drive.
- High integrity, work ethic, and professionalism.
- Good communication ability both verbally and in writing.
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Sound knowledge of operations management and inventory management.
- Ability to work with numbers, multitask, and prioritize workloads.
