Job Summary:



We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accountant to manage day-to-day financial transactions at our phone store. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, preparing reports, and supporting overall financial operations in line with best practices.



Key Responsibilities:




  1. Maintain daily financial records, including sales, expenses, and inventory reconciliation

  2. Record and post transactions to the accounting software/system

  3. Monitor cash flow and prepare daily sales reports

  4. Prepare bank deposit slips, reconcile bank statements and support monthly and quarterly financial reporting

  5. Assist in preparing budgets, forecasts, and financial statements

  6. Ensure proper documentation of receipts, invoices, and payment vouchers

  7. Work closely with the sales team to reconcile stock and sales and track accounts payable and receivable

  8. Ensure compliance with basic financial regulations and internal controls and report any financial discrepancies to management promptly



Requirements & Qualifications:




  1. ND or HND in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline with a minimum of 1-year relevant accounting experience (preferably in retail or similar setting)

  2. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and basic accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage)

  3. Strong attention to detail, numerical accuracy and ability to manage time effectively and meet deadlines

  4. Good communication, interpersonal skills, Integrity and professionalism



Preferred Attributes:




  1. Experience working in a retail or phone/electronics store environment

  2. Familiarity with point-of-sale (POS) systems and inventory software

  3. Basic knowledge of tax procedures and remittances



Remuneration: ₦90,000 – ₦100,000
