Job Summary




  • The Business Manager will oversee daily business operations, performance monitoring, strategic planning, and cross-department coordination.

  • This role ensures efficient service delivery, financial sustainability, and team synergy while supporting the MD’s vision for business growth and expansion.



Key Responsibilities

Business Operations & Oversight:




  • Supervise daily workflows across all departments.

  • Ensure adherence to operational standards and KPIs.

  • Serve as the MD’s delegate in managing business processes.

  • Supervise departmental leads including the Operations Supervisor to ensure alignment with company goals and efficient delivery of services.



Performance Management:




  • Set department goals and monitor KPIs for key roles.

  • Review reports from department leads and provide actionable insights.

  • Implement performance improvement plans where necessary.



Strategic Planning & Growth:




  • Collaborate with the MD on business development and expansion initiatives.

  • Lead execution of strategic projects, partnerships, and events.

  • Analyze client feedback and business metrics to drive service innovation.



Team Coordination:




  • Lead weekly management meetings across departments.

  • Facilitate collaboration between operations, client relations, social media, and finance.

  • Monitor staff scheduling, training needs, and cross-training initiatives.



Reporting & Communication:




  • Gather insights and performance data from department leads and present regular updates to the MD on outcomes, issues, and recommendations.

  • Ensure policies and communications are understood and followed across teams.

  • Serve as the communication link between the MD and department leads:

  • Operations Supervisor provides operational floor insights and reports challenges to the Business Manager.

  • Business Manager escalates relevant updates and strategic summaries to the MD.



Qualifications & Skills




  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management, or a related field.

  • 4+ years’ experience in business management or operations.

  • Industry experience in retail, hospitality, or beauty (preferred).

  • Strong leadership, problem-solving, and organizational skills.

  • Excellent communication and team coordination ability.

  • Proficient in Excel, Google Workspace, and management tools.
