Job Overview
- We are seeking an experienced Project Finance & Control Manager to lead and manage all finance-related activities within major projects.
- This role is responsible for ensuring financial integrity, governance, risk management, and strategic support throughout the project lifecycle.
- The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker with deep expertise in project finance and controls, capable of driving value-based decision-making and ensuring full compliance with financial processes.
Core Responsibilities
- Lead financial governance, risk, and assurance activities for the project.
- Manage budgeting, planning, forecasting, and performance monitoring.
- Ensure accuracy of cost reporting, estimates, and internal/external reporting.
- Support commercial, supply chain, and economic decision-making.
- Oversee accounting, treasury, and cash flow activities.
- Facilitate compliance with ERP systems, cost recovery, and internal controls.
- Collaborate with project managers, external stakeholders, and regulatory bodies.
- Mentor and manage project finance teams.
Requirements
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in a numerate discipline (e.g., Finance, Accounting, Economics).
- Professional certification (CPA, ACCA, ACA, CIMA) – mandatory.
Skills & Experience:
- Minimum 15 years of relevant project finance experience in Oil & Gas, Construction, or Engineering.
- Proven leadership experience in large, complex projects.
- Expert-level proficiency in Microsoft Office and SAP (ERP systems).
- Strong knowledge of budgeting, financial controls, and risk management.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Experience working in multi-cultural and cross-functional teams.
