In this role, responsible for identifying and developing new business opportunities for the Obijackson Group of Companies as well as managing the relationship with current clients
Location: Port Harcourt
As a Business Development & Sales Manager, you will be responsible for:
- Engaging assigned clients (NOC, IOC’s and independents) to ensure continuous visibility and participation of assigned SBU in all applicable market segments
- Overseeing the prospecting and developing new business including cold calling, scheduling client introductions, meetings and engagements, preparing and delivering presentations, documentation, proposals and bids to win new business.
- Supervising the development of sales proposals, estimates, specifications and presentations.
- Participating in trade shows, exhibitions, technology, product and service exhibitions & demonstrations, promoting company image and offerings.
- Ensuring that the SBU meets all contract terms and conditions and that all benefits derivable from each contract are fully enjoyed.
- Developing and maintaining long-term relationships with clients and key government and regulatory agencies and representatives.
- Monitoring and reporting on competitor performance and market trends and threats.
- Ensuring strict adherence to QHSE policies and procedures and complying with safe work methods as required.
- Performing any other duty that may be assigned by Line Manager
What are we looking for?
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Business or related field
- Minimum of 8 years’ significant experience in Business Development of Engineered solutions in the Oil & Gas upstream market
- Knowledge of tendering procedures in the Oil & Gas Industry
- Strong project management skills
- Good leadership and team building skills
- Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple tasks
- Good numeric, Analytical and Presentation skills
- Good written and Oral communication skills
- Extensive experience in working across the full commercial/contractual life cycle process from proposal to project close-out
- Extensive experience of working closely with Legal, Proposals and Business development functions from a pre-contract perspective
- Ability to establish strong interpersonal relationships and successful network.
- Ability to travel at short notice
- Initiative and problem-solving skills
- Highly motivated and the ability to work under tight deadlines
- Team player with excellent personnel management skills.
- Proficient in Corel Draw, Photoshop, Photo Paint, MS Office tools etc
