Roles and Responsibilities
- Responsible for initiating sales calls to prospective or current clients
- Prospect for leads and perform heavy cold-calling to build a pipeline of businesses
- Supervise accounts daily to retain existing relationships
- Meeting or Exceeding sales goals
- Negotiating contracts with potential clients
- Prepare weekly and monthly reports based on the assigned tasks and duties
- Give sales presentations to a range of prospective clients
- Co-ordinating sales efforts with marketing programs
- come up with innovative ideas stemmed from significant behavioural patterns and conversations with prospective clients
- Understand and promote the company's ideas
- Properly maintain client records
- Answer client’s inquiries and direct them to the proper channel about products, prices and availability.
Job Qualifications / Skills
- Candidate with Bachelor’s Degree to work in a logistics sales position.
- 3 - 5 years experience in logistics, sales, or a related field required.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Must be able to negotiate and problem-solve.
- Knowledge of current marketing and advertising trends and best practices.
- Proficient in programs including PowerPoint, MS Office and Excel.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Strong leadership and decision-making skills.
- Possess a strong track record for delivering successful sales experience in personal selling, telephone sales, and customer service.
- Knowledge: Transportation brokerage/sales experience, marketing multipart logistical solutions to a wide range of clients.
- Strong leadership and decision-making skills.
- Demonstrable business acumen and a deep understanding of business sales processes.
